Are You Ready For Your Yes In Amen?

You’ve dreamed, talked, & prayed about it, but are you ready for the yes?

Have you positioned your emotions & tried on your armor of faith? I remember reading a comment that said be careful of the things you ask God for if you are not ready for the process.

Think for a moment about the olive that can produce amazing benefits in the purified form. Before we can enjoy the many uses of olive oil it has to go through some things first.

Step 1: It has to be cleaned. Everything that is not the actual olive has to be removed (dirt, stems, leaves, & twigs)

Have we positioned ourselves to be alright when certain things or people are removed from our lives? What if everything we’ve ever done wrong piled up on the outside of our body as layers of dirt? We would need to be cleaned, right?

Step 2: The olives have to be crushed into a paste. The flesh will be torn in order to release the oils.

After Christ Olive Crushing

We were never promised an easy trouble-free life. However, God does promise that He will be with us in times of trouble. One of the best promises relating to this is John 16:33. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

If you pray for strong faith are you ready for the possibility of your faith being tested? Can you handle a breakdown for a breakthrough? Will you allow God to tear through all the barriers that are blocking him from your heart? (Remember you asked, He’s not going to force you to open your heart to him).

Step 3: It’s now time to mix the paste for 20 to 45 minutes. Water or heat may be added to increase the oil amount.

This is when things begin to come together, but you have to hold on. If you rush it thinking enough time has passed you run the risk of a setback. Don’t let what could be a short amount of time turn into 40 days in the wilderness.

Step 4: The oil is now separated to remove any remaining water or pieces of the olive.

Your olives have become olive oil. Trust the process, remove distractions, and listen to God's voice.
